ECE Students Inducted into Tau Beta Pi

Six undergraduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering have been recently been inducted into the Mississippi State University chapter of Tau Beta Pi.
Chapter MS Alpha, MSU’s Tau Beta Pi chapter, held a ceremony in the fall to welcome its newest 38 members. The three electrical engineering inductees include junior Andrew Donald from Philadelphia, Mississippi, senior Cody Hudson from Purvis, Mississippi, and senior Walker Thames from Buford, Georgia. The computer engineering inductees are senior Mackenzie Ellenberger from Hernando, Mississippi, senior Kyler Farrar from Vicksburg, Mississippi, and junior Kyler Smith from Southside, Alabama.
Tau Beta Pi is recognized as the preeminent honor society for engineering, celebrating engineers and students with high academic achievement and strong character. Founded in 1885, the organization has 251 chapters and over 621,000 members. Mississippi State’s chapter was established in 1928. Students in engineering are invited based on GPA and major requirements, and the Tau Beta Pi membership is for life.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University consists of 27 faculty members (including 6 endowed professors), 7 professional staff, and over 700 undergraduate and graduate students with approximately 100 being at the Ph.D. level.
