Students of the Electrical Engineering undergraduate program are required to complete either Engineering Mechanics I or Thermodynamics I. Because of this requirement, the list of possible Engineering Science Elective courses from which a student may choose varies depending upon which of these two courses were selected. Complete lists for both possibilities are shown below. As always, students must meet all course prerequisites.
For students who completed Engineering Mechanics I (EM 2413):
- Engineering Mechanics II (EM 2433)
- Mechanics of Materials (EM 3213)
- Engineering Economy I (IE 3913)
- Thermodynamics I (ME 3513)
- Any 4000-level ECE course not taken elsewhere in the program
For students who completed Thermodynamics I (ME 3513):
- Engineering Mechanics I (EM 2413)
- Engineering Economy I (IE 3913)
- Any 4000-level ECE course not taken elsewhere in the program
As always, students must meet all course prerequisites. Contact the major advisor for additional information.
